Campus leaders visit Dushanzi Petrochemical Company to meet with faculty and students participating in internships.

On August 25, 2024, Xing Xiaokai, Vice President of the campus, led a delegation to visit the faculty and students participating in a production internship at PetroChina Dushanzi Petrochemical Company. He held discussions with the company's management and alumni representatives. Zheng Yujiang, Director of the Human Resources Department (and Head of the Party Committee Organization Department) at Dushanzi Petrochemical, warmly received the delegation.

Xing Xiaokai visited the Ethylene Plant office building, the dormitory, and the cafeteria, extending his warm regards to the interns and their supervising teachers. In the dormitory, he spoke cordially with the students, inquiring in detail about the internship content, work progress, and living arrangements. He urged them to prioritize safety, balance their studies and daily life effectively, cherish this valuable opportunity to integrate theory with practice, and strive to enhance their overall professional competence.

During the symposium, the interns reported on what they had learned, their adaptation to the corporate environment, and their future career plans. Alumni representatives Fan Kaiyuan, Zhang Bo, and Chen Haidong shared their professional achievements with their alma mater, noting that the internship program had significantly helped them adapt quickly to their roles after joining the company; they expressed gratitude to both the university and the company for their training and support.

Zheng Yujiang highly praised the achievements resulting from the university-enterprise cooperation in internships and employment. He thanked the campus for supplying a large number of outstanding talents and pledged to further strengthen efforts in recruiting and developing graduates. He also outlined the company's recruitment plans, compensation and benefits policies, and employee development programs.

Xing Xiaokai thanked Dushanzi Petrochemical for its long-standing support of the internship program and commended the alumni for quickly adapting to the corporate environment and making professional progress. He encouraged the alumni to bear in mind the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important reply letter, work diligently, achieve outstanding results, and make significant contributions. He pointed out that the campus focuses on cultivating applied talent and has always attached great importance to internship and practical training.
