Conservation
Dushanzi Petrochemical has continuously increased investment in environmental protection facilities, comprehensively managing waste gas, wastewater, and solid waste. The company established a comprehensive, intelligent monitoring network for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and implemented various technical upgrades—such as sealing tank farms and adopting low-nitrogen combustion for cracking furnaces—to reduce waste gas pollutants at the source and enable real-time tracing of leakage risks. These measures fundamentally resolved odor issues at the plant, and emission reduction targets for multiple pollutants were surpassed.
Conservation Initiatives
Closed-Loop Water Systems
Advanced water treatment and recycling systems that recover 95% of process water, reducing freshwater consumption to near-zero levels.
Energy Recovery Program
Implementation of heat recovery systems and energy-efficient reactor designs reducing overall energy consumption by 40% across all facilities.
Waste Valorization
Innovative processes converting manufacturing by-products into usable materials, achieving 80% waste diversion from landfill disposal.
Biodiversity Conservation
Environmental stewardship programs protecting local ecosystems through habitat restoration and native species conservation around our facilities.
Every Drop Counts
To address the water-scarce Gobi environment, the enterprise constructed a high-standard, enclosed wastewater treatment and reuse system. Through multi-stage purification, industrial wastewater is recycled and utilized in a tiered manner; reclaimed water is reused for production and landscaping, significantly reducing fresh water consumption. Simultaneously, the company standardized the end-to-end classification and disposal of solid waste, transforming the production site into a "Gobi industrial oasis" and achieving harmonious development between refining and chemical production and the regional ecological environment.
