PetroChina Jinzhou Petrochemical Company is located in Jinzhou, Liaoning Province. It is a long-established fuel and chemical refinery in China. Founded in 1938, it refined the first synthetic oil of New China in 1951 and produced China’s first synthetic cis-butadiene rubber in 1965, forming the unique enterprise spirit of “one drop of oil, one piece of rubber”. The company has a full-process crude oil processing capacity of 6.5 million tons per year with 35 main production units. It can process nearly 20 types of crude oil from 15 countries and regions worldwide. Relying on raw materials from Daqing and Liaohe Oilfields, it has built a production pattern of refinery-led deep processing and comprehensive resource utilization. It serves as an important production base for specialty new materials under PetroChina.

The company manufactures petrochemical products covering 11 categories and 66 grades, including National VI gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, low-sulfur marine fuel oil, petroleum needle coke, cis-butadiene rubber, styrene, isopropanol, MTBE, sulfur and petroleum coke. Petroleum needle coke is its flagship product, a critical raw material for high-power graphite electrodes and lithium battery anode materials with leading domestic production capacity. High-end new materials such as rare earth cis-butadiene rubber and electronic-grade isopropanol have achieved commercial mass production. Products are supplied to Northeast China and other domestic regions, and some are exported overseas. The enterprise has established a complete QHSE management system covering quality, health, safety and environment, equipped with professional testing facilities and full quality traceability capacity. It can provide graded and customized products according to customer requirements.

In terms of technological innovation and green low-carbon development, Jinzhou Petrochemical continuously carries out unit technical renovation and digital plant construction. It devotes itself to developing complete sets of processes for new materials such as needle coke and special rubber, and has made breakthroughs in multiple key technologies. Following the strategy of reducing fuel output and increasing specialty products, it steadily raises the output of high-value new materials. The company implements full-process closed-loop management of waste gas, wastewater and solid waste, continuously launches energy-saving and carbon reduction renovations, practices clean production, and builds a green and low-carbon refinery.
